DPR Construction Offices – Atlanta
Cooper Carry designed the DPR Construction offices in Atlanta to harmoniously blend modern aesthetics with employee wellness, utilizing a spacious warehouse layout that promotes collaboration and embraces the vibrancy of the company’s culture.
DPR Construction’s long-established Atlanta office wanted to consolidate their self-perform services and office under one roof. Cooper Carry’s team rolled up their sleeves to create a modern office in a new construction warehouse space. The resulting design embraces DPR’s values in supporting employee wellness in a vibrant, technology-equipped environment.
The team took advantage of the high warehouse ceilings to bring ample daylight by adding more windows and solar tubes. A front awning creates an inviting entry experience. Construction materials like brick, concrete, exposed ceilings, and mass timber showcase DPR’s expertise and lend a raw yet sophisticated design. Biophilic patterns, green walls, and planting arrangements adorn the interiors, while the outdoor terrace extends the collaborative spaces outdoors.
DPR’s office blends the warmth of hospitality with the functionality of a home office. Focus rooms offer quiet spaces for heads-down work or private calls. The wine bar – a cultural feature in every DPR office – was relocated from their previous office and maintains a familiar element. A wellness room provides additional spaces for respite, and the fitness center includes a yoga room to reenergize or restore. The training room has two operable walls to open the space to the adjacent flex area for events, and three garage doors open to the outdoor patio and backyard.
Our experiential graphic designers brought DPR’s branding and construction elements to life, capturing the spirit of Atlanta and the company’s ethos. For example, they incorporated familiar graphics found in all DPR offices, such as their mission, “We exist to build great things.”
