Go and Up Offices – Paris
Factory’s Go and Up offices in Paris transform a historic space into a vibrant, employee-centered environment, blending innovative design with cherished local character to foster creativity and collaboration.
GO & UP is a rising agency, awarded Mobile Marketing Agency of the Year in 2023. Specializing in the design of high-audience mobile interfaces and applications, they create tools used daily by millions. As their team expanded, they needed to find a larger, more distinctive workspace without leaving their beloved Montparnasse neighborhood in Paris.
We began by guiding GO & UP through their real estate strategy, helping them find a unique space, full of character, featuring remarkable architectural elements.
From the outset, the project was designed with employees at its heart. The tone is set from the entrance, where spaces are dedicated to electric scooters, making daily life easier for the teams. Several meeting rooms were created, fully equipped to support hybrid work, fostering collaboration whether people are onsite or remote. A vast library was designed to reflect GO & UP’s culture, filled with books and curated objects that showcase the agency’s expertise.
The real centerpiece of the new offices is the eating space, inspired by the atmosphere of Parisian bistros. With its marble bar, bistro tables, and pendant lighting, it brings a warm, home-like feeling where teams can gather informally and recharge throughout the day.
The distinctive glass roof inspired the overall decorative approach, turning the open-plan office into a kind of winter garden. To harmonize with the beige structure, we developed a refined color palette featuring deep green and cognac accents. Chrome details subtly modernize the aesthetic while preserving a natural, relaxed spirit. Great care was taken in the choice of materials: cork flooring was selected for its acoustic comfort and eco-friendliness, tabletops were crafted from crushed oyster shells, and fluted glass partitions elegantly define the meeting spaces.
To add authenticity and character, second-hand furniture was sourced and carefully integrated, while selected seating pieces were reupholstered with high-end fabrics. Every detail was considered to create a cohesive and meaningful environment, balancing innovation with timelessness.
Throughout the project, the close collaboration and trust built with GO & UP’s co-founders, Julien Vivier and Charlie Fancelli, were essential. Their openness allowed us to push creative boundaries and deliver a workspace that truly reflects the agency’s identity and ambitions.
