Aoife Kamph Interiors transformed penthouse level into Northzone’s dynamic headquarters, blending function and character through thoughtful design choices like a communal kitchen, library-inspired workspace, and adaptable boardroom.
The new US headquarters for global VC Northzone is a dynamic workspace that seamlessly blends function and character, echoing its Nordic roots in the heart of Union Square. Spanning two floors with an outdoor terrace, the office is a one-of-a-kind property that required a thoughtful transformation.
A key challenge of the renovation was reimagining the upper level—once a private residence—into a functional workspace that reflects Northzone’s brand identity. The existing kitchen was refinished to serve as both a communal hub for team lunches and a setting for hosting events and dinner parties.
The third floor workspace was inspired by library reading rooms while the boardroom is designed to adapt—accommodating all-hands meetings as well as smaller breakout lounge areas.
Throughout the space, personal touches bring the brand to life, from framed photos of team outings to artwork created in-house. The result is an environment that supports collaboration and reflects the company’s unique identity and culture.
